Chapter History
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
On November 15, 2017, Gamma Alpha Epsilon Zeta (GAEZ) became the first and only Zeta graduate charter in Orange County, CA. Although based out of Irvine, CA, the chapter provides services throughout the County.
Reflecting on the legacy of the Sorority's five founders, on December 3, 2017 five phenomenal women (Brionna Adams, Dr. Phyllis Hall, Rosezetta Henderson, Jenna Roberts, and Monica Smith) joined Tamara Austin and Dr. Gabriella Jones to become the charter members of the newly established GAEZ Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
An official chartering ceremony was held on January 27, 2018 at Zeta Phi Beta’s 34th California State Leadership Conference in Los Angeles. Sorority members from the Pacific, Great Lakes and Southeastern Regions were in attendance at the ceremony which was officiated by the Pacific Regional Director, Natalie Brannon and the Southern California State Director, Shamar Walker.

After its chartering, Gamma Alpha Epsilon Zeta quickly got to work, joining the Orange County National Pan-Hellenic Council and Los Angeles County Sigma-Zeta Council. The chapter has partnered with organizations like the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, National Council of Negro Women, Orange County Uplift Foundation, and Z-Pearls Foundation, fostering impactful community collaborations.

Through educational scholarships, service initiatives, and meaningful events aligned with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.’s programs, the chapter has made a significant impact across the county. Both individual members and the chapter have received recognition locally, statewide, regionally, and nationally. Gamma Alpha Epsilon Zeta is excited to continue its positive influence in Orange County and beyond!
